Yes. Coaching is a distinct set of competencies, and coach training often requires that you ‘unlearn’ the traditional approach that we are taught as health professionals. Our health coach training courses incorporate evidence-based health behaviour change interventions such as motivational interviewing, positive psychology, the transtheoretical model, and health and coaching psychology to help you support clients in achieving sustainable health behaviours and outcomes.

For experienced health coaches seeking HCANZA certification without repeating unnecessary training, we offer an assessment pathway in partnership with HCANZA. This process:
Assesses your competency against the HCANZA Coaching Competencies
Identifies any gaps
Issues a Certificate of Assessment for HCANZA certification once you meet the standards
If minor gaps are found, we’ll recommend targeted training to address them.
